Ep 11: Meisha Stevens

The Australian Acoustical Society Conference was held in Adelaide this month and I got to hear some interesting presentations and meet some great people. One of those papers was by Meisha Stevens who has an interest in psycho-acoustics and how we react to unpleasant sounds.

Meisha is a consultant with Wood & Grieve, based in Sydney and was this year awarded the Future Leader Award by the National Association of Women in Construction.

If you want to read Meisha’s paper “The influence of binaural incoherence on annoyance reported for low frequency sound” or the paper I presented on “Designing for speech in circular rooms” the proceedings are now available at

If you want to find out more about Meisha’s work you can take a look at Wood & Grieve’s website wge.com.au
