Ep 13: Joanne Valentine

Joanne Valentine started out studying architecture and with Harold Marshall as a lecturer, quickly developed a passion for room acoustics. She has followed that passion for over 30 years, working on the acoustic design of projects including the ASB Waterfront Theatre in Auckland, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and the Philharmonie de Paris. She is softly spoken and unassuming but her sharp mind, focus and determination have seen her complex performing arts projects succeed time and again.

Jo works in the Auckland office of Marshall Day Acoustics and I took the chance to sit down with her at our biennial company conference last month to get some insight into how she has achieved her success.
